J Vineyard & Winery Sparkling Brut Rose NV
Editorial Reviews for J Vineyard & Winery Sparkling Brut Rose
Gently powdery on the nose with suggestions of rose petal, red currants and a background note of ruby grapefruit. Very airy on entry with softly sweet, succulent yellow cherry fruit topped with a hint of vanilla confectioner's sugar. The feel is bright and rich in the mouth and the brilliant acids power the long finish through to a finale of crisp green apples and hints of toasted almond. 92pts
Fresh acidity, peaches, dried apricots, and a hint of sugar with some strawberry. Nice complex wine that holds its own long after the glass is finished.
Engaging nose with wet hay, green apples, and pears. Nice tartness on the palate, good bubbles. The length is moderate, and the finish is slightly sweet.
This stop at J Wine was part of a Russian River trip! Made from blend of 64% pinot noir 34% char 2% Pinot Meunier, this fine bubbly goodness had bouquet hints of hibiscus and roses. It was medium dry leaning towards the sweet side. Arrr fine bubbles! Yummmmy. I never knew there was good bubblers produced here! Pretty crisp cranberry flavors that dance around in the bubbles. Nice! - Tasted at winery Feb 2011
Slightly sweet with a taste of strawberry. Nice finish.
A flavorful and yeasty sparkling wine. There are layers of fruit (although I am not sure which ones) and a hint of minerality. It has a bright acidity that I really liked.
