Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Member Review by VegasOenophile:

Straw colored in the glass. Intensely strong nose and powerful flavors of apple, pineapple, melon, grass and minerals. Nicely balanced acidity and reasonably complex. Harmonious balance in all its elements. Lingers on the finish. Very highly recommended. - Schreiner's Winers "Springtime Sauvignon Blanc" Tasting 3/12/10

Powerful and pleasant pineapple and kiwi on the nose, with a flavor that follows suit. A very refreshing wine, which should not be drunk with a thirst because it would be easy to over-indulge. Quite unique, a fun wine.

Round, easily approachable Sauvignon Blanc, with pink grapefruit aromas and flavors that verge on red berries. A hint of grassiness keeps it true to type, with citrus flavors that define the finish. Drink now.

Very pale color. Aromas of pepper., lemon and lichee. Juicy and slightly tart, but with good weight in the mouth and some exotic fruit notes. Finishes with a bit of unabsorbed acidity.

Sourced from the Awatare and Wairau Valleys (50/50). Fresh green fruit on the nose: apple with a touch of lime and gooseberry. Very clean. Light, fresh and elegant on the palate. Simple, well crafted commercial Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. Tasted January 2008.

Pale yellow. Aromas of soft citrus fruits, herbs and spices. Fresh and intensely flavored but at the same time round, with flavors of peach and ripe citrus fruits. A fruit-driven style that combines enticing sweetness with harmonious, juicy acidity.

Vivid, refreshing and brimming with lime-accented pear, star fruit and light vanilla flavors, lingering nicely on the expressive finish. Drink now.
