Cookoothama Shiraz 2008

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

Produced by the famed Australian winery Nugan Estate, Cookoothama (aboriginal for "fertile land") is soft, bright and incredibly juicy. Very easy to drink, and loaded with rich black and red fruit flavors and generous amounts of spice and oak.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Dark purple. Dark berries and mocha on the nose. Pliant blackberry and boysenberry flavors offer a smooth texture and good uncomplicated appeal. This easygoing wine is drinking well now.
