Concha Y Toro Chardonnay Marques de Casa Concha 2010
External Reviews for Concha Y Toro Chardonnay Marques de Casa Concha
A simple wine, this offers sweet cherry flavor packed in a light, velvety texture, green herbal notes adding freshness. For barbecue.
A fresh, harmonious white, featuring pineapple, citrus and spice notes backed by juicy acidity and creamy texture. Well-integrated, with a lingering aftertaste of fruit and chalk.
Light gold. Ripe melon and peach aromas, with nuances of candied ginger and honey adding complexity. Juicy, palate-coating pit fruit flavors are given bite by a note of bitter orange pith and pick up spiciness with air. Finishes slightly bitter, with good energy and focus.
It may have been abandoned in its Bordeaux home, but Carmenère has found a home and a new life in Chile. It makes red wines with good juicy fruit, freshness, flavors of ripe plums. This example, blended with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah, is a great wine just to drink, full of fruit, with a touch of toast, vanilla and smooth tannins.
