Ciavolich Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Ancilla 2007

Member Review by zufrieden:

A friendly, rustic and traditional Montepulciano d'Abruzzo with a touch of heat and acidity. The usual bright berry flavors and short to medium finish. Not much character here, but may be quaffed with pizza, lasagna or spaghetti with no loss of pleasure. Typical of the region.

In ancient Rome traditionally young girls would serve wine to the nobility. Nowadays with its dark fruit and nice tannins this wine is worthy of a royal meal. Serve with a slight chill.
