Lychee and wet slate on the nose. Tart, lemony, crisp, and nicely acidic on the palate. A bit of lychee again on the finish. Refreshing and crisp.

Crisp and refreshing without being too sharp, Chateau Lamothe Blanc is a consistently great buy. Medium- to light-bodied, the rsquo;07 is rounded and earthy from the 40% Seacute;millon blended with the Sauvignon Blanc. Fresh green pepper notes are highlighted by zesty lemon-lime on the palate. This wine was built to be served with food mdash; try pairing it with oysters or mussels with a lemon butter sauce.

The high percentage (40%) of Sémillon softens this wine, making it supple and round without losing the crispness of the Sauvignon Blanc. Bright tangerine and telltale gooseberry notes are balanced with honeysuckle and melon.

A great buy! You can tell from the nose how super-ripe it is. Grapefruit, ginger, quince, and a whole slew of citrus oil aromas and flavors coalesce beautifully in this refreshing and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, moving from in-your-face fruit, to tangy acidity, into a conclusive, pitch-perfect harmony. Enjoy it while itrsquo;s young and spry.

Located in the hilly region of the Premieres Côtes de Bordeaux on the right bank of the Garonne river in the charming town of Haux. Château Lamothe dates back to the 16th century. The cool sandstone caves that tunnel underneath the foundation of the property accommodate the cellars, where the wine ages at an optimum 56°-60° year round. Château Lamothe has 122 acres planted in vines; their white wine plantings consist of 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Sèmillon and 20% Muscadelle. This estate-bottled wine is well-balanced, with dry, delicious flavors.
