Bodegas Bilbainas Rioja la Vicalanda de Vina Pomal Reserva 2005
The style of Viña Pomal celebrates the marriage of tradition and modernity, paying homage to the Rioja tradition but with a renewed style. The wine’s foundation is classic in character, refreshed through modern oenologic techniques. Technical modifications are introduced gradually to preserve the house style, introducing more color, more fruit expression, and new wood. Grapes are cultivated to yield concentrated wines, and aging periods are abbreviated. Unlike the classic Rioja wines, Viña Pomal shows opulent color, generous fruit, and lushness on the palate.
