Barolo San Rocco Azelia Bottle 2004
Berry Bros & Rudd review: A very modern expression of top Barolo, from the single vineyard of San
Rocco in Castiglione Falletto; dense and super-charged with herby black fruit
and layers of sweet French oak. One for the cellar; drinking from 2012 till
2020.
(David Berry Green - BBR Buyer)

brilliant ruby red and on the nose kept getting all sorts of strange notes of sour cherry, dried papaya, black and red pepper. A hot and vinous wine. Red cherry and red berries on the palate. All up-front lacking finish. Although was not overly impressed I would like to see how this would evolve in a few years! Overall a great easy to drink Barolo.
