Food Pairings for Appenzeller Alpenbitter
Appenzeller Alpenbitter is a bitter liqueur from Switzerland. Since the 1940s, the recipe of the Appenzell Alpenbitter was not changed and the families and Kölbener Ebneter put forth the drink exclusively with natural ingredients. The nose and palate include touches of yellow gentian, anise and juniper along with 42 other exotic herbs. It has a slight alcohol bite at 29% but has a silky smooth long finish and spicy aftertaste. It is best drank chilled on ice or on it's own.
