Yellow Tail Chardonnay 2009
The [yellow tail] Chardonnay is a blend of selected parcels of fruit from some of Australia's best Chardonnay growing areas. Using fruit from the Hunter Valley, Cowra and Riverina we have created a wine with incredible freshness and character. This wine exhibits citrus and honeydew flavors further complexed by creamy French oak aromas. The palate is soft yet fresh with balanced acidity and a soft creamy finish. This wine will develop well over the next few years.
2010 vintage. It may seem a little ridiculous to rate such a widely available and inexpensive wine, but I actually got it because I was reading about it in a Snooth article on wines you should know/recognize. The aroma is not the best, but its passable, and it is not loaded with sulfites. They don't skimp on flavor, with mango and coconut notes, and a pleasant sourness. There is a bit of sugary, bubble gum taste too. I can tell it is meant to be served cold, because as it warms the flavor grows more grassy and less enjoyable. It is not great, but it is certainly worth the price.

Soft and fruity, with spice and floral character piling on. Yet this isnrsquo;t heavy or sweet. Finishes clean. Drink now.
Soft, smooth and appealing for its slightly sweet pineapple, citrus and molasses flavors, lingering on the polished finish. Drink now.
This Pinot Grigio is ripe and round without being overly heavy, marrying muskmelon and nectarine flavors to a cool, refreshing finish.
Soft, bordering on sweet, silky and spicy, with more oak than fruit, but finishing with a nice touch of peach. Drink now.
