Wolf Blass Wines, established in the Barossa Valley in 1966, has grown from a humble tin shed to become one of the world's most successful and awarded wineries. Wolf Blass Wines has won Australia's most coveted trophy, the Jimmy Watson, an unprecedented four times. There is a tradition of quality, character and consistency in the Wolf Blass wine production process. The Wolf Blass Platinum Shiraz is the winemaking team’s opportunity to nurture, develop and capitalise on several outstanding Shiraz vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valleys. Innovation and development, both in the vineyard and in the winery, ensures that Platinum Label Shiraz will always be one of Australia’s best Shiraz and more importantly, learning’s from the production of this wine will ensure every Wolf Blass Shiraz continues to achieve the success that is typical of the Wolf Blass brand. Made in extremely limited quantities from low yielding vines, Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz is crafted to epitomise the best of vintage and vineyard. Commencing with its 1998 debut, Platinum Label vineyards are characterised by their intensity of colour, concentration of fruit flavour, an elegant, balanced structure and long, fine tannins The nose shows lifted, spicy, fragrant aromas and notes of ripe berries and dark chocolate. The concentrated palate boasts layered flavours of blackberry, freshly ground coffee, spice and integrated oak. This is a seamless, velvety wine, rich and intense with excellent palate length and fine long tannins.
