Rich citrus nose and fruity on palate, even sweet!
Clean light beginning. A little apple flavor. Sits in front. A nice summer drink to start the evening
Three and a half glasses
External Reviews for William Fevre Champ Royaux Chablis
The apple, peach and mineral flavors play off the vibrant structure, while the texture remains smooth and generous. Has good regional character. Drink now through 2012.
Bottled three weeks before I tasted it in late June, Fevre’s 2012 Chablis Champ Royaux — based, as usual, on purchased fruit — offers a juicy amalgam of honeydew and lime on a glossy palate, leading to a relatively simple but refreshing, invigorating and persistent finish. Plan to enjoy it through 2014.
Round, with peach, yellow plum and a hint of mineral. A firm structure keeps this focused, with a hint of lemon zest on the finish. Drink now through 2010.
Apple, melon and mineral notes mingle in this vibrant, balanced white, which lingers with a Granny Smith flavor and a mouthwatering impression. Drink now through 2012.
