Walter Hansel Pinot Noir Rubian River Valley Cuvee Alyce 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): Deep ruby-red. Deep, pungent aromas of black raspberry, cherry-cola, vanilla bean and potpourri. Sappy, palate-coating red and dark berry compote flavors are complicated by an exotic floral pastille quality and hints of clove and mocha. A distinctly rich and fleshy but energetic pinot, with the depth and structure to age. The finish hangs on with noteworthy tenacity and grip. (May/Jun 2011)

Temperature swings of 40 degrees are very common. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
