Not bad, not great. Just ok. Little bit of oak, little bit of fruit.
A great wine for the price. Deep dark purple color with big nose featuring ripe fruit. Needs about 20 minues after pouring to really open up when at room temp. Blackberry/dark plum notes, smooth and full tasting with a hint of mushroom, leather and fresh turned earth yet a dryness on the back of the pallet that has a long finish. Great with red meat, spicey sauses and also dark chocolate. Should lay down for 4/5 years and be even better. Most people arn't aware of the character the 30% carmenere adds, so brown bag this while your guest brag about it then see who can guess the grape varietals.
