Vavasour Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough Dashwood 2012
A big roasted pepper character on the nose that’s both grassy and vegetal while remaining lively and freshly citrussy. Bright, lean and mineral on the palate with nice cut and a sweet edge of green kiwi fruit up front. Rather complete with nice length. Ripe, rich and zesty. 89ptsAdd winemaker's notes

New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Tastes like New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Solid NZ sauvignon Blanc. Good value.
This is my favorite NZ SB in this price point. The lime, grapefruit and pineapple flavors blend well with pronounced minerality and slight green finish. High acid makes this uber food-friendly.

Pale bright yellow. Pungent aromas of tropical fruits, pepper and smoke. The palate offers decent concentration to the flavors of grapefruit pith and white pepper, with a repeating suggestion of tropical fruits. The moderately persistent finish shows more saline minerality than fruit.
Light-bodied, with vivid passion fruit, lime and fresh herb and cut grass notes. Refreshing acidity gives this plenty of momentum on the finish. Drink now.
Dashwood Sauvignon Blanc is pale straw in color. The nose has stone fruit, citrus and fresh tropical notes that eap from the glass. The palate is expressive with stone fruit, citrus and fresh tropical flavors that linger on through the crisp finish.
Pale, bright yellow. Grapefruit and tarragon on the slightly herbal nose. Juicy and quite dry, with classic citrus and herbal sauvignon flavors offering good intensity. Could use more depth but finishes with decent persistence.
Lip-smacking, with a mouthwatering acidity that gives a wonderful freshness to the pineapple, melon, peach and ripe mango flavors. Persists on the long finish.
From a vintage of balanced weather, the 2004 Sauvignon Blanc exhibits excellent ripeness in its rich pear, apple, talcum powder, and gooseberry aromas. Medium to full-bodied, ample, and satin-textured, this wonderful value bastes the taster's palate with waves of lush spiced gooseberries whose effects linger in its long, seamless finish.
Boisterous aromas of gooseberries are found in the nose of the 2002 Sauvignon Blanc. It is rich, highly expressive, satin-textured, and well-balanced. Loads of tangy melon, gooseberry, and spice flavors make up its medium-bodied personality. Drink this beauty over the next 2ndash;3 years.
