Sherwood Estate Vineyard lies nestled in the beautiful Macleay Valley on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Both the Cellar Door and our Fine Blends Restaurant offer boutique wines and fine food seven days a week. We invite you to read more about our Wines and to "share our passion" by visiting the Vineyard, Cellar Door and Fine Blends Restaurant. Sherwood Estate Wines is owned and operated by the family team of husband and wife Bruce and Marina Compton. Along with brother David Rountree, their shared passion for fine wine, fine food and a love of music, led them to purchase Sherwood Estate Wines from John and Helen Ross on 1st September, 2005. Bruce and Marina live at the vineyard and share the commitment of running the vineyard and the operation of both the Cellar Door and Fine Blends Restaurant. Having built on the infrastructure which was put in place by the previous owners, Sherwood Estate has developed into a totally boutique vineyard. The addition of the Fine Blends Restaurant has added to the value of the vineyard, which is now a tourist destination. Sherwood Estate Wines combines the experiences of fine food and great local wines in a relaxed country setting. Read less

Surprisingly light. Vibrant. Sun-dried tomatoes and roses. Clean.

An absolutely great wine, and for the price, almost shocking

The Sherwood Estate 2006 Pinot Noir displays dark plum aromas on the nose supported by gentle oak handling. The palate is round and full with a persistent finish. An excellent match for most dishes.

Sherwood, based in Marlborough, New Zealand, has created this light, fruit-forward Pinot Noir. Notes of black plum and raspberry pop from the glass, accenting the underlying toasted vanilla flavors.
