Crémant is French for creamy and traditionally refers to a wine with light effervescence. It has approximately half the pressure of other sparkling wines and presents a creamier texture with more exotic flavors. Sweet peach and juicy orange are rounded by roasted hazelnut. This sparkling wine is particularly viscous and coating upon entry, with a quenching finish.
The Flora grape (a cross of Sémillon & Gewürztraminer) gives this sparkler a very unique flavor - spicy asain foods, blue cheese, and desserts
Normally I love this wine but it seemed to be a bit off. It is a nice rich gold color. The nose had a candied fruit and a sweetness. There was some toastiness to the wine with almond and some honey.

Schramsberg Cremant is a delicate off-dry, dessert-style wine: an American original. Our Cremant has roughly half the pressure of our other sparkling wines, it presents a creamier texture, and has more exotic flavors.
Winemaker's notes: Aromas of honeyed spice rum cake rhubarb pie and baked pineapple commingle with wild pear melon and tea leaves. The bouquet of mouth-watering fresh fruit blends harmoniously with the wines more mature elements. On the palate this wine is rich and creamy yet still vibrant and refreshing. Suggested Food Pairings. This delicious sparkler has spicy floral aromatics and apricot and peach flavors which will caramelize with further aging. The sweetness in Crmant is subtle providing a fine balance with desserts such as fruit tarts poached fruit light cakes custards exotic sorbets crme caramel gingerbread and crme brle. It also complements a wide range of spicy Asian foods and matches especially well with foie gras. 88% Flora 9% Chardonnay and 3% Gewurztraminer.
