Santa Julia is a label offshoot of Familia Zuccardi wines from Mendoza, Argentina. The wine is named after Julia Zuccardi, daughter of chief winemaker José Alberto Zuccardi. The wines are organic (although not certified under US law) and handmade, with close attention to detail. This is an affordable range of dry and sparkling wines as well as a late harvest Torontes/Viognier blend called simply “Tardio.”
Rich fruit on the nose, with a little ruby plum. Pleasant tannins in the back accompany spiciness.
Bright and spicy and hot! This has a flood of red fruit on the nose and a flood of black fruit on the palate. Finishes with some oakiness.
