External Reviews for Sandeman Porto Tawny
Selected from the lighter wines of each year, these Portos are chosen for ageing in small oak casks to develop their style. Sandeman's Tawny Porto has the fruit and style of great Porto, but with an added finesse. Pale in colour and light in body this Port is superb as a chilled aperitif, or accompanying an appetizer, yet satisfying when served at the end of a meal.
Very jammy aromas here, while the wine is ripe and full. It has a soft character, all plum and blackberry flavors, the tannins just showing at the end to balance.
A rich yet elegant combination of flavours - dried apricots, honey, nuts, spices, vanilla - creates an endlessly complexwine that unfolds smoothly and develops in the mouth.
