Rustenberg Sauvignon Blanc Stellenbosch Brampton 2012
a rich nose with very ripe exotic fruit tones, passion fruit, a little pink grapefruit, roasted green chili, lime leaf, a nice lean mouthfeel with rather ripe fruit tones but retaining decent freshness, this gives a bit of precision and zing in favor of ripe fruit tones and flavor. A bit loose though there is a nice mineral tone on the finish. 86ptsAdd winemaker's notes

A dazzling Sauvignon Blanc, with luscious aromas of passion fruit, gooseberry, ripe figs and limes that carry over onto the palate. Has racy acidity and rich, full fruit flavors that melt harmoniously into a crisp, clean finish.
The 2000 Sauvignon Blanc from Brampton exhibits fresh, pure, lemon grass aromas and a crystalline, quartz-like personality. Lemon, minerals, and touches of grapefruit can be discerned in this light-bodied, crisp, and vivacious wine. Drink over the next two years. It is an excellent value.
Pale yellow. Ripe aromas of spices and pepper with a hint of pineapple. Then fruitier in the mouth than on the nose, offering fresh, nicely intense pineapple and nectarine flavors and an attractive supple texture. Finishes with good length. The best sauvignon to date under this label, which was originally launched as Rustenbergandrsquo;s second label but is now on its own.
Rich and tropical in style, with fig and kiwi notes, and a lush, herb- and mineral-tinged finish. This South African white will have lots of fans, especially at the price. Drink now.
Pale color. Aromas of dusty stone, licorice, tarragon and mint. Supple, rich and fat, with impressive palate presence. Juicy and detailed but also quite pliant for Sauvignon. Finishes long and smooth. Terrific value.
Lovely richness, with hints of fig and lemon curd that are offset by a racy citrus peel note. Floral and herb notes chime in on the finish for added effect. Really nice stuff. Drink now through 2003.
Delicate floral aromas of peony and sweetgrass are supported by notes of citrus peel and sea water in the nose. The mouth offers subtle hard white peach and green banana flavors with accents of fresh herbs. Clean and well-balanced with an easygoing attitude and a lively finish.
