Spicy black cherry with a sweet chewy mouthfeel. Maybe a little too sweet but still very enjoyable.

Coppola's Claret is always a good one. This went with our steak & asparagus and a few cheeses after. Very full-flavor.
I love this wine! Its round and full-flavored with a nice complexity to it. The juice is just so darn tasty; its everything I want in a cab!

It is no tougher than young Cab will be, and its combination of structure, strength and insistent fruit is the recipe for real success. A chocolatey wine with a deep red color, dark plummy fruits, and a nice dose of warm baking spices on the finish. Silky-smooth tannins give it a great friendly structure.
Rubicon Cask is their finest expression of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from this historic estate vineyards in Rutherford. Originally the Niebaum estate, wine grapes have been grown on this property since the 1800's. Wine Enthusiast Magazine's Winemaker of the the year, Scott McCleod crafted this Cab with the bold intensity that you'd expect from the Rutherford bench. Wine & Spirits scored it 91 points saying "This is 100 percent cabernet sauvignon selected from the Cohn and Chateau vineyards on Francis Ford Coppola's Rubicon Estate. It's aged in 500-liter American oak puncheons, referencing the larger format oak John Daniel, Jr., used for his Cask wines of the 1950's. This is a plump wine, filled with bosky cherry flavors and the bright light of acidity to cut some of the sweetness of the fruit. The finish heads toward figginess, chewy, generous and smooth. For roast rack of lamb." Limited!
Lots of berried fruit flavors are well balanced with the oak making this a perfect grilled meat companion.

Not showing particular finesse now, with straightforward cherry, blackberry and currant flavors, but has the balanced stuffing for the cellar.
