This was a tasty wine. I think I prefer it to the Rosemount Shiraz.

88%/12% Cabernet/Merlot blend. Spicy aroma (allspice? Anice?) cherry, berry and tobacco tastes, strong tannic curtain which cold (approx 60-65 F) eases. Finish is slightly drying, but smooth. Bit of a brandy or whiskey polish. Pairings: Steak? Needs heavier flavored food. Spicy indian?

I love blended wines and this was one of those wines at a great price that surprised me. The flavors were well balanced without too much acidity. Licorice, plum and cherry flavors enhanced the smokiness and flavor of this wine. Goes great with grilled lamb or a good piece of beef on the grill for sure.

Regarding the 2002 vintage. First drank in 2003. Then it was bright, fruity, clearly young. Just opened my last bottle (early 2013). I didn't expect much, but I was surprised. It had mellowed, become spicier, and sweeter than I remember.

A full palate of generous dark fruit flavors complimented by touches of spice and oak. Fine tannins support the long finish.

Farbe: schönes Rubin mit purpurenem Rand; Bouquet: feine Cassis- und Pflaumen-Aromen; Körper: weich, elegant, schöne Tannine.

An excellent value is the Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot. It is a fruit-driven effort revealing the personalities of its blend. The rich, full, forward 2000 reveals no evidence of wood. Soft and lush, with low acidity, it will drink well for 1ndash;2 years.

For an under-$10 wine, this one delivers some oak, healthy black fruit and bright acidity. One poke at the nose reveals some barrel char, which persists onto the fresh, tight and juicy palate. Because itrsquo;s so forward and bright, nobody will mistake it for flabby; itrsquo;s really quite the opposite.

The sweet berry flavors are soft, peppery and light, ready for roasted eggplant with a meaty tomato sauce.

Generous, full-flavored, with soft berry fruit and vibrant raspberry character finely balanced by a smooth velvety finish.

Bright fruit, zesty acidity, and soft but adequate tannins mark this enjoyable wine. The aromas and flavors are jammy and young, suggesting heaps of newly picked blackberries. Itrsquo;s dry, and finishes a bit rough and strong. Might even improve with a year or two of age.
