CaliforniaRock River Merlot is a terrific value red made by one of Californias top winemakers from vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Lodi, Amador County and Paso Robles. Rock River Merlot is ruby red in color. The nose is packed with firm, dark fruit, and sweet oak. It is lushly fruited and toasty in the mouth with flavors of plum, cherry and red berries. Soft and silky on the palate, it has medium body and fresh aromatics with a long, lightly tannic finish. Enjoy Rock River Merlot over the next 5-6 years with roast duck, roast pork, grilled vegetables and cheeses.
Silky-smooth, with floral, rich plum and nutmeg flavors and toasty vanilla and cedar notes that linger on the finish.
This stylish wine has a deep crimson hue and soft mouth feel. Exuding flavors of berries, chocolate, spice, with toasty oak and long, velvety finish. Enjoy this delicious red with pastas in red sauce, roast, or a mild, hard cheese.
Tasted blind, this wine would score 89 or 90 points on most people's scales, but one glance at the crazy low price and you have to give this Merlot a 99! Dark purple in color, with aromas of black briar fruits, vanilla, and framboise, the wine serves up a concentrated mouthful of black forest fruit flavors, smooth, but long and gripping on the palate. A serious Merlot for serious wine lovers.
