Réserve des Vignerons Cabernet de Saumur Rosé 2010

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

Although the regrettably short season for native strawberries is over, who can forget their irresistible and unmistakable fragrance pervading the kitchen or fruit stand? This dry rosandeacute; of Cabernet Sauvignon from the village of Saumur, in the Loire Valley of France, captures that aroma, as well as those of other red fruits of spring. It tastes like biting into one of those ripe, sweet, juicy berries, balanced by moderate acidity to give it structure. Although refreshing and light on the palate and on the finish, the wine is a versatile and ideal summer quaff. So, kick back by the pool or on the deck and serve this Saumur rosandeacute; well-chilled with virtually anything or on its own. Especially complements barbecue, Asian foods and summer salads.

If you've never had a Loire Valley rosé, brace yourself for the unexpected. Subtle strawberry-raspberry fruit is carried by violet florality.

A delicious strawberry/cherry nose leads to a racy, light body with minty, herbal freshness backed by a strong acidity. The finish is tart and juicy with more cherry and berry notes. Perfect with appetizers and cold salads.

"For lo the winter is past... the flowers appear on the earth," therefore, now is the time for rosé wines! Rosés have been ignored for too long a time, but at last, they are beginning to take their place in the wine pantheon. This delightful wine from the historic Loire Valley is the perfect companion for all your summer activities. Made from Cabernet Franc grapes, it has a brilliant strawberry color, and aromas of ripe strawberry, raspberry and lime supported by flavors of crisp, juicy raspberry and a bright, smooth, long finish. It is everything a dry rosé should be: flavorful, gracious and charming. Serve with broiled scallops, grilled planked salmon, pasta salads or pea pods stuffed with goat cheese.

This 100% Cabernet Franc rosandeacute; is a light and refreshing wine with racy raspberry and watermelon flavors. A hint of herb on the finish keeps the wine appropriately dry. The 2009 vintage of this wine was a surprise hit and the 2010 picks up right where the last one left off.

Has a well balanced style that shows flavors of wild strawberries and dried cherries. What a gorgeous salmon-rose color! Aromatics show floral notes and a bright crispness. It complements a variety of cuisines, including chicken, pasta salad and spicy dishes. Serve chilled and enjoy with family and friends.
