Ravenscroft Classics Collection Chardonnay Glass 2007
Scents of toast, butter, and pineapple. Not overly oaky...smoke and spice; with a pineapple and cream finish.
Had this during my engagement dinner, and it was an instant favorite. Rich yellow gold in the glass, the nose is heady, with floral and cedar over fresh fruit. The first taste was an explosion of fruit, mainly peaches and kiwi, followed by some rich nutty flavors and all surrounded by good acidity and toasty oak and vanilla. A big chardonnay. Long finish, if I could find more I would cellar some, but the local wine store is always sold out.
Very nice Chardonnay, not overly oaked, but with just enough to add substance. Clear, crisp fruit with a hint of balancing acidity. Clean finish.
Next to Destino, this is probably my favorite Chardonnay. I favor well balanced Chardonnays with a good bit of butter, tropical fruit and bear.
Warm, buttery, very nice!

We say its fruit forward and that the oak is very integrated into the wine. Probably texturally it seems buttery."
Ripe pear, apple and honeydew melon flavors are shaded by spicy, toasty oak. A rich, creamy style. Full-bodied, with a touch of sweetness. Drink now through 2011. 40,000 cases made. -JL Wine Spectator. A Chardonnay wine from California in USA. 2007 Rombauer Chardonnay 750ml
