This is a nice bright Tempranillo, with plenty of fruit and a bit of cocoa. Nose is unremarkable but not unpleasant. Very nice value at $8.
Very brightly fruity but aftertaste is mineral and not too sweet. Tastes strongly of asparagus and sandy soils. Slightly smoky. Not peppery or fiery as with many Spanish wines. Has a medium to thick mouthfeel but not at all syrupy. Probably would be good with dishes centered around steamed or sauteed vegetables. Probably would be good with pork too, possibly turkey. Overall, a great wine, low price.
