All of our vineyards in Paso Robles are located on the west side of highway 101. Erich believes this area of limited water, shallow, rugged, rocky, calcareous soils will produce some of the finest wines in Paso Robles, and among the finest in California. Erich planted his vineyards precisely throughout the Paso Robles appellation to take advantage of the unique micro climates and soil characteristics that would best suit each grape variety.
Decent color. Smoke, jam. Soft tannins, blackberry, very jammy and chewy. Not bad. Run of the mill zin.

Ripe and round, with plum and cola flavors on a soft, rustic frame. Moderate tannins call for hearty food. Drink now through 2000.
Simply put, a blockbuster red at a terrific price. Notes of berries and mint of the nose give way to spice and wildberries in the mouth, fading to strawberry on the finish. Superb effort from one of Californiarsquo;s top producers of Zinfandel. You can expect to pay up to three times as much for their reserve bottlings.
