Although the bottle label logos state 1632 there is a record of a Carillon vigneron in Puligny-Montrachet from as long ago as 1520.In the late 1980's Louis Carillon started making and bottling his own wines rather than using a negociant. This domaine consisted of 12 hectares spread over several parcels but it has now been split between Louis's two sons Jaques and Francois although Francois is still operating out of the original premises.
