Philipe Melka Metisse 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Jumping Goat Vineyard is located in the heart of St. Helena, next to Spottswoode Winery. It was planted in 1999 by the renowned vineyard manager, David Abreu, with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and petit verdot. This 3.5-acre estate sits on an old river bench, which is reminiscent of the Graves area of Bordeaux.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
