Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Ulises Valdez Vineyard 2010
External Reviews for Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Ulises Valdez Vineyard
The 2010 Pinot Noir Ulises Valdez Vineyard impresses for its superb elegance and pedigree. Dark fruit, flowers, spices and licorice are some of the notes that come together in the glass. The 2010 expresses plenty of the size and volume that are typical of this site, but with more finesse, elegance and delineation than found in the 2009. Mint, licorice and flowers add nuance on the bright, high-toned finish. Anticipated maturity: 2015ndash;2025.
The 2010 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is beautiful. It has a bit more depth and darker fruit than the 2009. Sweet spices, new leather and licorice are some of the notes that wrap around the finish. This is a terrific showing. Deep ruby in color, this complex pinot noir offers aromas of wild berries, rose petals, cola and tobacco. The silky, supple palate is brimming with raspberry, caramel fleur de sel, lavender, cardamom; all supported with a mineral backbone.
Offers a rich medley of blackberry and raspberry, with a touch of floral and black licorice. Tightly focused and well-structured, this is long on the finish. Drink now through 2019.
Bright ruby. High-pitched aromas of raspberry, cherry-cola, allspice and rose. Silky, gently sweet and focused, with very good depth and intense, floral-accented red fruit character. Silky tannins add focus and shape. This suave wine drinks very well right now.
