Patrick Javillier Meursault 2009
Berry Bros & Rudd review:<br/>The wines of Meursault are renowned as the richest of the three famous Côte de Beaune villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Meursault. Made with the assistance of top winemaker Patrick Javillier, this is an especially elegant example with a gently figgy nose and a lovely palate of rich, creamy lemon fruit and hints of nut and banana. A firm structure supports the classy, restrained, vanilla oak notes and the very long finish. This would be excellent with cream-based fish and white meat dishes.
This is a 10 hectare estate spread over 14 appellations producing both red and wehite Burgundies. The family have been involved in wine for several generations.Patrick Javillier has a reputation for being a perfectionist when it comes to wine making
