Winemaker's Notes:

This wine is youthful and approachable, with soft tannins and a juicy mid-palate. The focus is decidedly Burgundian, with flavors of raspberry, cherry and wild berries, good acidity, and a nice French oak complexity.

Paraiso Vineyards:
The rugged Santa Lucia Mountains frame Monterey's County's fertile Salinas Valley on the west, separating it from the Pacific Ocean. The vines of this unique hillside district enjoy cooling ocean breezes and fog from nearby Monterey Bay. The resulting slow, gentle ripening contributes to California's longest “hang time” — creating exceptional intensity, complexity, and balance in the grapes.

Wish I could get some input on what the nose is on this one. Funky, skunky, that rolls into a buttery smooth mouth feel, fizzy cherries with ripe raspberries md palate and a pleasant sweet strawberryish finish. I liked it, paired awesome with smoked salmon and a French dip wit aus jus. Can anyone help identify the nose? Reminds me of a flat ale.
