Pacific Rim Winemakers White Flowers Sparkling Riesling 2009
Editorial Reviews for Pacific Rim Winemakers White Flowers Sparkling Riesling
Sweet tea, flowers, and green apples greet the nose. This has a fairly gently mousse and while it says it dry on the back label it’s at the upper levels for a brut. It’s packed with fresh, almost cidery apple flavors and notes of sweet lime. There’s a nice bitter apple vibe that courses through this and while it’s not complicated is it fun. The finish is long and it plays the sweet/sour tension very well. An unusual sparkler that is sure to be a crowd pleaser. 86pts
Nice floral and apple aroma is pleasing to take in. Cidery taste. Fairly sweet.
Celebrate with this dry, apple cider flavored sparkler. great with popcorn. it tastes like no other sparkler i have ever had. this is a must try.
Not a drinker of sparkling wine, but got this via Lot 18. Have to say, I really liked it. It was floral and sweet, but still had a taste of sour apply cider that juxtaposed well against each other. A must-have for anyone looking for a good alternative to the usual sparkling options. Bought another bottle to save for a special occasion.
This dry(ish) apple is delicious. On first taste, I didn't think I would like it. It was chilled. On the second glass, it was room temp. and was delicious.
The store I bought this was out of the Riesling I love, Pacific Rim Organic Riesling, so I thought I'd give this a try. Great alternative to most Champagne. Only thing I have found better is Piper Sonoma Champagne Blanc De Noir.
