Owen Roe Pinot Gris Crawford-Beck Vineyard 2012
David and Jeanne Beck farm this 1.2 acre block of exceptional Pinot Gris on their hillside in the Eola-Amity Hills. The vineyard is carefully tended to provide highly concentrated fruit through low yields and sensible stewardship. Their attention to the vines finds expression in this complex and wonderfully aromatic wine.
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
