Oak Creek Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon California 2006
This was NOT a Cab!! Transparent red, like a dark rose'. Definately sugary, sweet nose, light bodied slightly sweet taste. Taste more like a white zin to me. Even at $3, no go..for a cab. White Zin lovers rush to it!!Add winemaker's notes
Oak Creek is a wine brand based in Livermore and Ripon, California. These wines are often found at $5 or less at large chain supermarkets and liquor stores, not to be confused with Oak Creek Vineyards in Arizona.

Cab lovers beware. This is sugary with a sweet nose but it is palatable and enjoyable with meat or pasta. Try the Merlot of the same brand the sweetness is not so prevalent. Buy at CVS stores for under $4.00.
I'm not a wine snob. At $3.00 a (eco-friendly) bottle, this wine is great. I just started with my one a day red wine kick for the health benefits and to de-stress after work and I think this wine has a great balance of dry yet slightly sweet. Also, I hate how people tell me what to eat with my wine. They always say meat or cheese. I'm a Vegan, how about I tell you to pair it with a cigarette. How about a piece of bread, then I can feel closer to God. Anyways, great wine, I'm drinking some now.
