Navarro Correas Cabernet Sauvignon Colección Privada 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

A great value Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina's most important wine region, Mendoza. Solid, with vibrant red currant notes framed by dusty tannins, with herbaceous notes that grace the finish.

Navarro Correas:
During the winter pruning we are going to control the production capacity of the plant, the vineyard is going to produce a certain number of clusters, and we will regulate the number of buds of each plant by using scissors.

Forward if not particularly concentrated; the hints of clove in the nose come just at the end, and the ripe cherry taste lasts a good long time. Rather than developing into new flavors, though, the wine ends with an unfortunate bitterness. Not a bad choice with a rare steak, but did it really take grapes from 60 different vineyards to make it? (AV 85, http://argovino.com/?p=1093)
