Nalle Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

Classic briar wood, and smoke top notes over a base of cherry fruit with a little supporting oak note. Spicy on entry, with juicy bright acids supporting a light yet powerful palate impression full of fresh sour cherry and raspberry fruit wrapped in briar with black cherry skin notes on the long finish. This is long and tense, with fine cut to the fresh fruit. 91 points

Nalle Winery:
Our wines are the greatest... blah, blah, blah, ...'cuz Doug Nalle and Andrew Nalle are genius winemakers... blah, blah, blah, ...and our growers are the smartest, most hard-working in the grape universe. You can drink our wines young, old and in between and they match perfectly with any and all foods. More sober notes follow on our Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
