Merry Edwards Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Flax Vineyard 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): Good bright dark red. Deep aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, black tea, coffee and mocha. Concentrated, sappy and savory, with a saline minerality adding interest to the black cherry and dark plum fruit flavors. A strong impression of soil made me think of Burgundy. Finishes with serious sappy depth and a firm spine of broad, dusty tannins to support aging. Offers an impressive combination of density, structure and lift. (May/Jun 2013)
