Joyce Gilmore single-handedly consumed this bottle at her 65th birthday party. She raved about it.

The event, held in Sydney, is an exclusive competition for a hand selected range of the very best wines from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. Internationally acclaimed wine writers and judges Bob Campbell MW of New Zealand, Huon Hooke of Australia and Michael Fridjhon of South Africa selected the best wines of each variety from their own country. Save (at least $5) by going New Zealand over Oregon and you will definitely be rewarded for your frugality! The Martinborough Te Tera Pinot is as bright and juicy as any domestic Pinot, resonating with deep black cherry, chocolate-covered strawberry and ripe red raspberry fruit flavors. Soft and approachable, but ringing with bright, lively acidity. Perfect for pairing with tuna steaks or smoked salmon appetizers.

A more approachable version of their famous estate Pinot, the Te Tera boasts rich, ripe fruits and elegant spice notes, with just a faint hint of oak on the finish. This wine could hold its own against your favorite Oregon Pinots!

A small core of opaque burnt redwood with a broad rim of faded rose. Fragrant aromas of spice, fraise sauvage and sour cherry emerge on the nose, while the attack is soft and subtle until the flavors slowly build in intensity and travel across the ... Chuck Hayward. A Pinot Noir wine from Wairarapa in New Zealand. 2008 Martinborough Vineyard Pinot Noir 750ml
