This wine has a pretty solid, complex nose of damp cedar and pepper, and loses it on the mouth for excess sugar and short-livedness. I would give the nose a 4 and the mouth a 2.5-3.

Hot ethanolic nose assaults the senses, behind that theres a lot of licorice. In the mouth its better, but its a pretty violent wine with some volatile acidity. I felt tannins and cherries before i gave up and felt the licorice finish.
This is a great classic wine!! Full bodied and great nose, some might be put off by a cedar "musty" smell but I think it adds great charater. I always have this wine on the rack or in the cellar. A must have.
