Margerum Sauvignon Blanc Santa Barbara County 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

"Light, bright gold. Seductively perfumed bouquet of smoke-accented citrus and orchard fruits, along with sweet butter and oak spices. Fleshy apple and tangerine flavors pick up notes of anise and candied flowers, with juicy acidity giving the wine spine. Finishes smooth, broad and dry, with resonating spice and citrus fruit nuances...91" IWC 12/12 "Dry and complex, this has flavors of Meyer lemon, fig, green grass, mineral, honey, wildflower, white pepper and a touch of smoky oak. The acidity is wonderful, providing a kick of lime-like tartness. Terrific now as an apéritif, and with a wide range of fare, especially modern Asian fusion...92" WE 03/13

Margerum Wine Company:
We are a small producer of Syrah, a Rhone style blend called M5, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and a few other varietals. Our grapes are purchased from the finest growers in Santa Barbara County. In addition, we are beginning to import a few exceptional wines we have found in our travels to the wine regions of Italy and France.
