Distribution, like every other aspect of the production chain, is very closely looked after and the clientele is selected based on its demand for high quality. The domestic Italian market absorbs approximately 40% of Marchesi di Barolo’s production, the distribution of which is handled by a well-coordinated network of independent sales agents. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Rather clean and fresh with mint-toned grape skins, dusted with a little cocoa powder on the nose. Bright and juicy in the mouth, this shows a lovely leading edge of ripe fruit roundness followed by juicy acidity and a nice interplay of simple fresh fruit, plums and raspberries. A hint of allspice adds a bit of detail. The finish is clean and brisk and shows good persistence to the fruit. Delicious in a light and easy style. 87pts

The very attractive nose showed spiced berries, herbs and leather. On the palate, it was intense yet silky, with tart berries and spice, softening acidity, and excellent balance. The finish was lingering with dark fruits, not long but very smooth.

Vanilla, red fruit jam, slight cocoa. Nice acidity on the finish, would make this a great wine for food. Well balanced

The property of the Marchesi di Barolo is placed in this idyllic atmosphere, where its historical vineyards reinforced by the time-expired and harmoniously pictured on the hills, find, every day, a confirmation for the quality of its grapes and wines.
