Louis M. Martini Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2006
90 points from Robert Parker: `One of the finest bargains in California Cabernet Sauvignon must be Louis M. Martini's outstanding 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma. The good news is there are 140000 cases produced. Fabulously sweet aromas of black currants licorice and cedar soar from the glass of this medium to full-bodied wine. With silky tannins as well as surprising concentration depth and texture this 2006 should drink well for 8-10 years.`
We believe that Cabernet Sauvignon is the most noble of grapes. We believe that great winemaking begins with great vineyards, and we want the land to speak through our wines. Our wines express the best characteristics of Cabernet, the personality of the special places where our grapes are grown, and the vision and skill of the winemaker in blending balanced, engaging, and memorable wines.
Nice smooth wine from start to finish. Let this decant for a hour and it taste like a $50 bottle. Love this wine.
Excellent cab for the price - drinks like a higher end wine - firm tannins - lots of berries - vanilla - smooth finish - great value!
This wine has a great berry punch while maintaining some complexity. Has flavors of chocolate, cassis, and oak as well. Decant and let sit for an hour before drinking. Great with steak and meats. One of my favorite Cabs in this price range. Maybe a little overpowering for some palates Martini really did a great job blending different wines
Middle of the road cab, forgettable. Lots of interesting elements, but nothing that stands out or lasts.
Good complexity for such an inexpensive wine. A mix of Napa and Sonoma, so you get a nice mix of those reigon's characteristics.
Consumer friendly Cabernet, approachable fruits like raspberry and plum, smooth finish.
Quite sublime. Smooth rich and flavorful.

Wine Tasting NotesThe Louis M. Martini Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon was made to highlight the high quality of its fruit. It offers aromas of red cherry and blackberry that are supported by a round, sweet mouth feel with just enough structure to lead it into a fruit-focused finish.
Its very well balanced, with gorgeous wild cherry fruit and a round, smooth texture. Itll age, too, perhaps for as much as 15 years.
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso (primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with dollops of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) boasts an opaque ruby/purple hue along with a St.-Estephe-like earthy scent intermixed with notes of black currants, licorice, toba... The Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a deep garnet color with intense aromas of ripe cherry, cassis, and pipe tobacco. Concentrated flavors of ripe plums, and dark bing cherries marry perfectly with the oak nuances. This is a well structured wine that is balanced with firm, velvety tannins which culminate in a long, elegant finish with hints of tobacco, dried herbs and fruit.
