Leitz Leitz Out Riesling 2008
Smells of cherry cider laced with orange peel and mulling spices. The palate impression is as frisky bright and dynamic as both the vintage and preceding editions of this wine would lead one to expect. Apple cherry lime and orange all inform a scintillatingly bright sizzlingly spicy and unabashedly sweet finish. This little study in fruit saturation and vim and vigor.
Peaches and lemon on the nose. Apple, peaches, and tropical flavors on the palate. Quite sweet, almost like desert wine. Good finish and nice acid.
Still as tasty as ever. Fantastically priced for a wine of this quality. Off dry, but with great acidity, which keeps the wine lively and taught. Beautiful flavors of peach, mango and other tropical fruits, this is a fantastic wine and highly recommended
Quite dry, moderate acidity, lime and orange flavors with a refreshing, somewhat mineral finish. If you like dry, citrusy cocktails like 7&7, you will like this.
Quite sweet and lightly effervescent but with enough acidity to balance the sugar. Peach, pineapple, other tropical fruit. Dangerously drinkable.
At first glance this wine exhibited heady floral notes. These disappeared quickly leaving some simple apple notes and some cheesy funk combined with a chemical note. On the palate there is plenty of acid, but it's not integrated and comes across as a bit harsh.
