Jose Maria da Fonseca Periquita Moscato 2009
The largest expanses of Jose Maria da Fonseca vines are found in Setubal. each utilising appropriate growing techniques to maximise qualitative potential according to individual ecological conditions.
Powerful nose of honey, flowers, perfume. Very sweet smelling, but it's quite a dry wine, still floral, with a wooded character, more perfume and a bit of cedar box spice.
very aromatic, some floral aromas, lilac, lychee, peach and a twinge of melon on the nose, like sweet perfume and seems similar to a Viognier. the plate is floral, herbal, some grassy notes with little hints of orange and peach nectar. lovely finish. Light and refreshing on the palate makes very enjoyable for a warm spring day.
The very definition of a bouquet on the nose. Let's bust out the aroma chart... Pear, lychee, orange, perfume, and Off! Yes, the bug repellent, but I swear it's pleasant. Soft and delicate in the mouth - not as exciting as the nose. A very interesting wine.
The nose is peach fuzz, white-fleshed fruits and perfume-flowers; in the mouth you'll find something grassier, plus a swirl of orange oil. A distant, toasty warmth rises on the finish.
