Jamesport Vineyards Red Blend North Fork Cinq East End Series 2003

Winemaker's Notes:

History: Jamesport Vineyards is a father-son collaboration that began in 1981 at Early Rising Farm in Cutchogue, making Jamesport Vineyards one of the North Fork's oldest vineyards. 60 acres of pristine vineyards are located here. The high quality of their fruit is what gained Jamesport Vineyards a reputation and caused their fruit to be in high demand from both local and upstate wineries. Jamesport Vineyards is truly an estate winery. Ron Goerler Sr. acquired the 150-year-old barn that houses the winery and tasting room in 1986. Drawing on the great Cutchogue fruit supply as well as the talents of his son, Ron Jr., he started Jamesport Vineyards in 1989. Since then, a lot has changed, both aesthetically and agriculturally. New clones of Cabernet Franc, Dijon Chardonnay and Syrah were selected from California vineyards for planting at the winery locale. Tasting Notes: A voluptuous blend of 5 grape varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon 32%, Cabernet Franc 35%,Merlot 25%,Syrah 4%,Pinot Noir 4%. Cinq has a silky mouth feel beautiful dark fruit aromas and along finish with flavors of cassis, blackberry and fig. With Cinq anything is possible! Return to Jamesport Vineyards Wine List
