My Rating: 88 firm structure with well balanced fruit and med tannins. nose has berry like flavours. hs not the complexity of erlier releases like 2003
Scents of hay, smoke, a bit of tobacco. Medium body with licorice and tart plum flavor. Finish is dry, warm, and tangy.

A full bodied wine with a big finish, needs a hearty dish to subdue it's strength
I opened this bottle last night hoping for a nice suprise, but the suprise was on me. If you enjoy lots and I mean overwhelming Alchol this wine is for you. I have enjoyed other Jacob's Creek wines before, but not last night. I gave it plenty of time to open up and it did soften the blow some, but not nearly enough for me to purchase another bottle or take another sip.
