Golan Heights Winery Sauvignon Blanc Golan Heights Yarden Kosher 2007
Sauvignon Blanc and a small amount of Semillon. Tasting Notes: Tropical fruits with citrus, light herb notes and hints of vanilla and oak; complex and medium-bodied with long fruit finish. Serving Suggestions: Fresh fish, such as ceviche, tuna tartare or grilled sardines. Also great with poultry, or with fresh or aged goat's milk cheeses.
By combining state of the art technology with traditional vinification techniques, the company has succeeded in producing award winning wines, firmly placing Israel on the international wine map.
On the nose, there were peaches, apricots, and kiwis, followed by a hint of grass. In the mouth, there was grass, parsley, and saline with a touch of kiwi and peach. The wine, surprisingly, was medium-bodied. For a full review of this wine, visit my blog at: http://bit.ly/brKTqx
