François Pinon Vouvray Brut 2010

Member Review by drdebs:

One of the more interesting sparklers I've had lately, and I think my first sparkling Chenin Blanc. Yeasty and musty aromas that can be mistaken for a corked wine are, as you taste, revealed to have the earthy, mineral notes of Loire wine. The more I drank it the more I liked it, for its earthy midpalate grip (a nice counterpoint to the citrus) and medium-bodied mouthfeel. Very interesting, and better with food than on its own.
