Fonseca Porto Late Bottled Vintage 2009

Deep purple color that was non-translucent. Strong berry nose and a jammy taste with hints of currant and berry. Medium tannins with a sweetness that lingers. Flavors fills your mouth and stays. Medium to heavy bodied port that was almost chewy in texture. Very good for the price and vintage!
Deep and very rich with raisin and black currant notes. Dessert wine sweetness is offset by medium tannins. Not as good as a nice, aged vintage port but still quite a bit of fun and without the 20 year wait.

Appealing fresh and intense blackcurrant and cherry aromas with hints of eucalyptus and spice. The palate displays wonderfully luscious, rich black fruit flavour supported by firm but supple tannins.
A well-balanced wine, bringing both rich fruit and sweet tannins to go with dense concentration. There is ripeness from black jam and sweet jelly, followed by a good core of dryness.
Deeply colored, with intense freshness and juiciness to the blackberry, dark plum and raspberry tart flavors that extend with hints of cedar on the finish. Drink now through 2022.
A fine, elegant bouquet. Intense dark chocolate and rich luscious black berry and cherry fruit aromas. Full, ripe, rounded fat fruit mouthful. Fills the mouth to bursting with juicy black fruit, liquourice and chocolate. A wine with lovely textural quality; velvety, smooth. The finish is full of flavor and wonderfully intense and long.
Aromas of blueberry and almond follow through to a full-bodied palate. Medium sweet, round and chewy. Slightly one-dimensional. Drink now.
